The Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) team within Insurance Capital Solutions is a team that has been established within Macquarie Asset Management with the initial remit of establishing a Bermudian asset intensive reinsurer (InEvo) and setting up an outsourced investment management function to support the strategic partnership with InEvo.

Insurance is a key business priority for Macquarie Asset Management, and the establishment of InEvo together with an outsourced investment management function broadens the way in which we can partner with insurers across capital and investment solutions.

What role will you play?

You will report into the Head of Investment Structuring within the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer team, acting in an oversight/growth capacity for InEvo as well as supporting the development of Macquarie Asset Management’s insurance capability and growth of strategic partnerships with insurers. This is an important role within Macquarie Asset Management, bringing an exciting opportunity to help shape the build out of the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer function.

What you offer

• Strong communication skills and able to articulate complex matters in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to develop trusted relationships with key partners.
• A strong understanding of the capital and reporting requirements for insurers operating under (one or more of) the key regulatory rulebooks (eg. UK Matching Adjustment, Solvency II,  Bermuda Monetary Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission).
• A highly motivated individual with relevant experience across insurance asset management.
• Expertise in private credit, infrastructure debt, private equity or real estate investment management – either from an investment origination or top-down credit allocation perspective will also be valuable.
