Head of Insider Threat and Internal Fraud

Join Macquarie as the Head of Insider Threat and Internal Fraud where you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to fraudulent activities and security threats that may originate from within Macquarie itself.

What role will you play?

  • You will play a critical role for Macquarie as you develop and implement comprehensive strategies for identifying, monitoring, and mitigating insider threats and fraud.
  • You will establish and enforce policies and procedures that minimize risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Additionally providing detailed reports on threat landscape, incidents, investigations, and outcomes to senior management. As well as performing regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage your leadership skills to lead your team and the response to insider threat incidents and fraud, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate impact.
  • Empower others within Macquarie by conducting regular training sessions for employees on how to recognize and prevent fraud and insider threats.

Salary range for this position: $250,000 – 350,000 /Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer

  • 15 years + proven experience in fraud prevention, insider threat management, or a related field.
  •  A data-driven mindset and experience leveraging advanced analytics, data science techniques, and surveillance tools to detect potential insider threats and fraudulent activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, cybersecurity, business administration, or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFE, CISSP) are preferred.
