The Banking & Financial Services Security and Fraud Prevention team defends Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. The team ensures confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information.
Join our Security Architecture & Design team where you will be responsible for translating the business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change by creating, communicating and improving on the key security principles, standards and models that describe the enterprise future state.
You will collaborate with internal and external teams to develop detailed security designs and patterns that transform high level architectures into implementable, manageable, efficient and repeatable security solutions.
As part of its innovation charter, the team needs to stay abreast with the global security landscape and find innovative solutions to secure business initiatives through ongoing relationships with vendors and partners.
As part of the Security Architecture & Design team you will join the Security Design team lead, and multiple Security Designers.
Key Responsibilities:
the role is that of a Security Designer in the Banking & Financial Services division, working closely with internal and/or external teams to provide security designs and patterns
develop security-related integration designs for applications and infrastructure (including public cloud)
develop reusable security design patterns, both logical and physical
develop libraries of security-related configuration and code snippets for internal teams to consume
provide security engineering expertise
Beneficial experience that you will bring:
5+ years experience in technical design roles
3+ years security experience in large enterprises, preferably in global financial services
current or previous experience in configuring, operating, and designing security solutions for business and technology initiatives
familiarity and experience in formal security design aspects, including logical and physical security design
familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, and related methodologies or frameworks
demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies
experience with security engineering, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development desirable
familiarity working within an Agile environment
demonstrates a sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps, and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends
excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively about abstract and complex topics to a range of audiences.
