What role will you play?
You will play a vital role in providing an independent view on operational risk, control management and assurance for Macquarie’s data risk profile and promote change in data risk management culture.
This role will see you design and implement enterprise information management frameworks, policies, standards, processes and data management practices.
You will shape and influence enterprise-wide risk management practices through the design and implementation of effective controls to manage relevant risks as well as the ongoing monitoring of those controls.
What you offer
- 4+ years of senior manager level experience in line 1, 2 or 3 operational risk management, ideally with subject matter expertise in data risk and regulatory compliance in financial services (or similar)
- Experience as a leader, developing and supporting a high performing team
- Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and constructively challenge the status quo
- Experience in data architecture disciplines, including practices around data modelling and/or metadata management is highly desirable
- Understanding of other data-related risks such as records management, models and user developed applications, and regulatory reporting is highly desirable.

About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
