Engagement Lead – Americas region, Corporate Affairs

We have an opportunity for a high performer to lead our Engagement team in the Americas, as part of Macquarie’s multi-disciplinary Corporate Affairs division.

Based in New York and reporting into the Head of Corporate Affairs for the Americas, you will lead a small team to help deliver regional and group-wide internal communications, as well as content and social media strategies in the region.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to engage our Regional Head and Americas Management Committee, helping to create and direct leadership communication programs for some of the most senior executives in the region.

You’ll lead large-scale communications projects, and deliver high-profile virtual and in-person staff events. You’ll incept creative content and relevant thought leadership across our core engagement channels – including our global website, email, intranet, videos, podcasts, and internal and external social media.

The role will operate at the corporate level and work closely with our various businesses throughout the Americas.

Working collaboratively with members of Macquarie’s Americas and global corporate affairs teams based around the world, you’ll support and drive strategic initiatives and leveraging activities for the benefit of the Group, contributing to a wide range of strategic group-wide initiatives, including Macquarie’s purpose, principles, and culture; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and risk culture. You’ll also help advise on our positioning on local sociopolitical issues and reactive communications.

Partnering closely with our operating groups, you will be part of a regional team that provides valued support to a diverse range of successful businesses in a dynamic and evolving region. In this role you will gain exposure to stakeholders across the business and an invaluable opportunity to drive your career forward.

We’re looking for someone with 10+ years’ experience in engagement-related roles in financial services industry in the Americas. The candidate will have exceptional writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills. You’ll enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with your stakeholders, including senior executives, as well as mentoring and developing junior colleagues. You’re both creative and analytical, leveraging insights and data to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.

Corporate Affairs actively engages with media, staff, shareholders, investors, research analysts, governments, and the wider community to maximize their understanding of Macquarie and to enable Macquarie to understand the expectations of our key stakeholders.

About the Financial Management Group

In our Financial Management Group you will work in the financial hub of Macquarie, driving real change for our businesses. You will be part of a team that plays an important role building relationships with our regulators, partners, communities and shareholders - all of which play a key role in upholding Macquarie's brand.

Salary range for this position: $140,000- $160,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
