Come join Macquarie Asset Management Private Markets (“MAM Private Markets”) Fund Management group, within our New York office. In this role, you will be a key member of a team responsible for managing the finance, treasury, operations, and investor relations functions for MAM Private Markets unlisted investment vehicles, investing in infrastructure and real assets throughout the Americas, with the aim of providing income and capital growth to investors.
This role would be responsible for oversight of the preparation of all quarterly financial and investor reporting, including quarterly investor updates, financial statements, capital statements, and limited partner reporting requirements for MAM Private Markets, as well as the coordination of valuation and investment committee papers.
You will have an integral role over the annual financial statement audit, including management of external auditors, oversight of external service providers, including review of financial reporting, tax calculations, investor reconciliations, management of specific investors requests, and assistance with investor onboarding. In addition, you will have oversight of waterfall calculations, capital calls, distributions and fee calculations, as well as ensuring the integrity and completeness of financial records, including transactions processing, reconciliations and the establishment of account processes and policies.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in alternative financial services, private equity structures, and a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to financial services. A background in Secondaries is required for the roles. You should be a self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects, have strong communication skills, and the ability to resolve complex/technical issues in a practical manner.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- BS or MS in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA/CA preferred
- 4-6 years practical working experience in accounting required, mix of public accounting and private sector accounting in a private equity company would be advantageous
- Experience in working in Secondaries/Secondary Funds
Salary range for this position: $110,000-140,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
