As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to help deliver relevant business insights. This will involve the whole data analysis lifecycle, from gathering requirements, business analysis, sourcing and exploring data, data cleansing, data modelling, and reporting and visualisation. Your role will focus on the development of new cybersecurity metrics used by Technology staff. This is a significant initiative, providing you with the opportunity to make a huge impact.
To excel in this role, you must be:
- proficient in SQL and Power BI (including dataflows, Power Query M, and DAX)
- hands on and able to develop and modify Alteryx workflows and troubleshoot performance issues
- detail focused and proud of your sense of accuracy
- excellent at stakeholder management
- proactive and have great communication skills
- a natural collaborator with a learning mindset, happy to share knowledge and learn from others
- able to understand and translate technical requirements into non-technical language
- able to document outcomes of business and data analysis in a clear and concise manner
- highly proficient in data preparation and integration
The following skills would be highly desirable:
- experience with data warehousing and data modelling
- familiarity with data architecture concepts and a good grasp of what a good architecture looks like
- able to write Lambda functions or applications using Python or Go
- experience with S3, Spark, and AWS
