Commodities and Global Markets | Business Analyst

Join Macquarie’s Commodities & Global Markets group as a Business Analyst, working in our Sydney CBD office at least 3x days per week to support your development and strengthen your working relationships. In this role you will be part of a global team, working to deliver risk transformation programs.  

About the role

In this project role, you will support effective supervision and regulatory obligations through uplifting Commodities & Global Markets specific Human Resource (HR) attributes.

The role will include defining business and functional requirements, current and target state process documentation and ensuring that all downstream requirements are automated. As part of this work, you will be involved in change impact analysis. You will partner closely with front office staff, Divisional COOs, and engage with teams across HR and Technology. 

What skills will you use?

You will have proven experience as a Business Analyst, with ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across various business functions. You will be comfortable presenting findings to relevant audiences during key milestones, and your analytical approach to problem solving will be critical to your success. You can adapt to change quickly and work under pressure, and your organisational skills will allow you to manage deadlines with ease.  To be successful in the role you will:

  • Bring 3+ years prior experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a financial services institution.
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams. 
  • An ability to assimilate information with a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to develop business and functional requirements. 

We worked flexibly before Covid-19, and even more so now. To build strong working relationships and develop in your role, we have a requirement to be in the office at least 3x days per week. You’ll be surrounded by motivated and driven individuals, encouraging you to perform at your best and learn from your colleagues, while they learn from you.
