Assistant Manager/Executive – Control Assurance

Join our Control Assurance team as an Assistant manager. You will have a passion for managing a high-performing team, ensuring the control framework and governance systems at Macquarie adhered to continually improving & ensuring risk is effectively managed.

In this role you will be responsible for conducting detailed audits and reviews to ensure that the control framework and governance systems are functioning as intended. You will identify internal control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improving Macquarie operations. You will also evaluate risks and internal controls against changing trends, as well as market, economic and business conditions.

You will evaluate information security and associated risk exposures and liaise with the Risk Management Group and external and internal auditors to assist with the continual improvement of the risk management framework. And ensure your team applies the correct audit methodologies, practices, and standards to deliver high quality audit documentation, reports and stay up to date on regulatory and statutory changes, as well as accounting standards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a tertiary qualification in relevant finance discipline or CA with 2-6 years post-qualification experience in audit and/or operational risk preferably within accounting or financial services environment. You will have the ability to work in a virtual global team and have a strong customer service ethic with to proactively understand client requirements.
