PeopleSoft Engineer - Manager

We are seeking a talented team player to join our tribe of developers to support our business in delivering innovative solutions and a world class experience for Macquarie staff. You will work in a multi-talented, diverse team across multiple geographical locations and implement solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our high performing HR Technology Team working as a PeopleSoft Engineer supporting the PeopleSoft HCM/HRMS Application.

As a PeopleSoft Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical expertise and build custom solutions in response to business requirements and functional specifications  
  • Plan, estimate and deliver enhancements to application functionality  
  • Conduct and coordinate Unit and System Integration Testing (in an automated manner using tools like PeopleSoft Test Framework “PTF” is a plus)
  • Support the PeopleSoft infrastructure and environment
  • Evaluate and apply PeopleSoft maintenance patches using PeopleSoft Update Manager “PUM”
  • Deliver solutions in a DevOps, Agile delivery team to meet standard change, development and quality assurance methodology
  • Provide support coverage for both Sydney and Manila – with flexibility to provide overnight support for critical incidents
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and collaborative environment

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related study  
  • Functional understanding of PeopleSoft HRMS v9.1/v9.2 and Global Payroll
  • Minimum of 5 years continuous, recent experience with technical analysis, design and build, using PeopleTools 8.5+, of custom:  
    • Reports and Interfaces (SQR, XML Publisher, PS Query, Application Engine, etc)
    • Integration Broker and Component Interface
    • Online modifications (components, pages, fields, etc) 
  • Proven experience with the following tools:  
    • Application Designer, PeopleCode, Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, File Layouts, SQR, Query, Application Messaging, Application Packaging, Change Assistant, XML Publisher
  • Experience with supporting the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture – Weblogic, Tuxedo, etc.  
  • Unix and Linux experience  
  • Environment Set-up and maintenance 
  • Experience in Database maintenance
  • Experience integrating SaaS / Cloud platforms such as Servicenow is a plus
  • Experience in AWS is a plus
  • Experience in Fluid AI Development is a plus
  • Experience in PTF is a plus
  • Experience in PUM application is a plus
  • Experience in Bitbucket is a plus
  • Knowledge of dealing with multiple message or file formats including XML, JSON, CSV etc
