Manager - Site Reliability Engineer

Hong Kong, Singapore

We have an exciting role in the Equity Derivative and Trading – Post Trade Technology Team in Singapore. This is a great opportunity to work with gifted technologists to make a significant impact to our business.

We are a global team, supporting trade capture and trade flow systems, and operating in a strong DevOps culture. You will join a dynamic team that owns globally used services and work side by side with experienced front and back office developers applying agile development methodology.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong architect level knowledge and experience with AWS.
  • Strong experience with Terraform to manage large AWS infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Fluency in at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience with databases (MySQL/MongoDB) and message queues (Solace/MQ) as big plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/ArgoCD) as a plus.
  • Self motivation and thirst to understand how things work.
  • Strong belief in the principle of “Keep It Super Simple”.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Migrate on-premise applications to cloud(AWS).
  • Brainstorms ideas to simplify and streamline infrastructure.
  • Works on infrastructure cost optimizations.
  • Dives deep into operational issues, from an infrastructure perspective.
  • Executes and delivers projects in short timelines, without sacrificing quality.
  • Shows initiative in identifying the priority to align with team goals.
  • Enjoys and wants to automate any toil, then sit back and relax!
  • Engages in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
  • Participates in periodic on call duties.
  • Participates in design reviews and operational readiness exercises of services.

Excellent verbal and written communication will be important in this role.
