Operational Risk Analyst

London

We have an outstanding opportunity for an Operational Risk Analyst join our Risk Management team in London. 

You will take a core role for the Operational Risk function in the 2nd Line of Defence, supporting Macquarie Capital and its business entities, which provide our Corporate Advisory, Private Equity and Cash Equities business to clients in the UK and Europe.

You will oversee the implementation of the Macquaire Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) ensuring that standards are met. This will involve challenging the 1st Line of Defence across Incident investigations, Risk and Control Self Assessments and Control Frameworks and the ability to form an independent view of the relevant areas of the ORMF.

You will leverage existing datasets and produce board and management reports which provide insights into the risks within the portfolio, business and relevant entities. 

Experience of being exposed to a markets trading business is preferable with a knowledge of related end-to-end processes and functions to help support the team’s oversight of Cash Equities. 

Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships, strong attention to detail and a commitment to innovate and deliver high quality outcomes is key.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
