Associate (Technical), Infrastructure Investment and Development

As an Associate on our technical team, you will be involved in investment of equity capital from Macquarie’s own balance sheet into infrastructure projects and businesses in the Americas, encompassing greenfield project development, including PPP/BOTs, and brownfield principal investments spanning the transport, social and digital infrastructure sectors.

The role involves supporting the Infrastructure Investment and Development team in developing principal infrastructure opportunities.  This will include:

  • reviewing and developing the key project input assumptions (including CAPEX and OPEX);
  • participating in the review and negotiations of transaction documents with EPC contractors, operators, maintenance contractors and consultants;
  • preparing materials to support a transaction for both internal and external stakeholders;
  • supporting technically the operational assets within the portfolio, including negotiations with clients, overseeing the annual budget, and optimizing the concession;
  • coordinating the flow of information between existing assets and Macquarie's Porfolio Management team; and
  • supporting workstreams related to WHSE, technical and insurance Due Diligence.

You will have an outstanding academic record and combine the knowledge obtained in your undergraduate degree (preferably in Civil Engineering) with your previous experience (3-5 years) within the infrastructure, communications and/or energy sectors to quickly make an impact. Fluency in Spanish and English is required and relevant experience in the logistic, industrial, or building sector will be considered as an advantage.
