Assistant Manager - Java Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the engineering team as a Java Integration Engineer. In this dynamic, inclusive, and high performing team, you will be an integral part of developing cutting-edge applications to help us to continue to build our digital bank.

As a Java Integration Engineer, you’ll use your hands-on Java development experience as you implement technical solutions for the next generation wealth platform. You’ll engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at other geographic centres globally to effectively drive the right solutions in line with the target architecture. You’ll take ownership of operational issues and perform both short-term resolution, and development of preventive measures for the longer term. You’ll be responsible for application flow, including configuration, scheduling control and scripting. You’ll also proactively monitor system health and respond to alerts to provide high availability and performance of the application set including automation of health checks while also taking responsibility for problem, change, incident management and automation of application/system monitoring.

This role will suit you if you are innovative, can learn and use new technologies quickly, and effectively and have the following technical knowledge and experience:

  • Strong technical expertise in Java 8 or above, collection framework, Concurrency, memory management etc.
  • Experience in designing, building and testing Java EE applications
  • Microservices
  • Rest APIs
  • Cloud (AWS/GCP)
  • CI/CD
  • Good knowledge of Spring, Spring boot, Junit, Unix/Linux scripting skills.
  • Good knowledge of DB (Sybase /Oracle) and able to write complex DB queries
  • Familiarity with Enterprise application Integration architectures and patterns
  • Experience with DevOPS ecosystem
