eDiscovery DevOps Engineer - Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented DevOps engineer to help us transform how Macquarie conducts eDiscovery in the future while also supporting today’s real-world investigation needs.

The eDiscovery and Surveillance (eDS) team within Macquarie provides technology and services to retain, supervise, and discover Electronically Stored Information (ESI). As a global technology service, we partner with Legal, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Security teams across Macquarie during the eDiscovery phase of investigations.

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer in Manila to help us transform this service while also supporting real-world investigation needs. Your role will be divided between projects and operational support responsibilities. Example projects include our migration to public cloud platforms and the addition of new electronic communication data feeds to our existing message archive. Operational support duties will include vulnerability management, BCP testing and alert management.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 2 years’ experience working in an Agile software engineering team
• Software engineering experience in a Windows Server environment
• Good understanding of Windows, Linux and networking concepts
• Experience building integrations between software applications using microservices and APIs
• Familiarity with design and development of solutions hosted in the public cloud, preferably AWS using CI / CD tools
• Experience in AWS cloud technologies – S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, Cloud Formation, Lambda, EKS and RDS
• Experience developing with Python, PowerShell, Java and using YAML and JASON
• Experience with SDLC tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Bamboo and Jenkins
• Experience with ITIL processes, specifically Incident and Change Management
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a global technology team
• Ability to effectively balance project deliverables with daily operational support responsibilities
• A strong sense of ownership with a bias towards long term improvement over temporary solutions
• A strong client service focus and desire to respond to customer queries within prompt timeframes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Uncompromising integrity and ability to reliably handle sensitive data
