Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to join our Banking and Financial Services team. In this role you will:

  • Work with Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation, configuration, data migration, and working with Marketing Cloud Connect, and other Integrations.
  • Work with Sales or Service Cloud, ability to track emails sent from SFMC in Sales Cloud
  • Experience in reporting and analysing email activity using Email Studio reports and Journey Builder. (Nice to have) proficiency with Data Views and Discover Reports within Analytics Builder, Einstein Engagement
  • Lead technical aspects of projects related to email, mobile and web campaigns and CRM initiatives.
  • Track record for delivering marketing automation projects in a fast-paced environment, and able to successfully keep to deadlines.
  • Work with the email marketing team, and client stakeholders to understand key campaign parameters and inputs.
  • Serve as a liaison to Salesforce Marketing Cloud product teams to support custom and/or atypical initiatives.
  • Have familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance.
  • Be a customer centric problem solver with exceptional influencing skills, attention to detail and strong commercial sensibilities.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in all or some of the following:

  • +5 years experience in Marketing Technology domain as a software engineer.
  • Have some experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with new modern tools and applications by performing discovery, experiments and then delivery.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com Integration components for SFDC such us, SFDC
    APIs, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, Apex callout, outbound messaging and SFDC data loaders.
  • Possess Journey Builder experience with strong API skills and SQL.
  • The ability to navigate across many teams and companies to gather technical information to develop an appropriate solution.
  • The ability to analyse project objectives, extract requirements directly from Customers, customized a solution, design, code and implement within the Salesforce product tool set.
  • Test functionality and uphold quality design and code.
  • Willingness to understand the data requirements of the use case and find data in the constantly evolving system.
  • Understanding of digital marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of database and data structure principles in enterprise scenarios.
  • Ability to work with clients to design customer journeys, and associated data models.
  • Extensive experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, most importantly Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder and Automation Studio, and ideally also Cloud Pages and Mobile Studio.
  • Understanding how to build a custom preference centre.
  • Conceptual understanding, to be able to establish data models, work with API's and configurations.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Technology.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM (Sales & Service Cloud, Communities).
  • Clear communication skills to make complex technical matters simple when communicating with non-technical stakeholders and client executives.
