Are you looking for an opportunity to join a talented and collaborative regional team? Are you a passionate Human Resources professional looking to develop your career further? If so, we want to hear from you.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join our regional Human Resources team where you’ll provide HR transactional, advisory and project support to a range of business groups in Japan.
As a dedicated Country HR for Japan, you’ll be providing full advisory and operational support to employees, managers, HR Business Partners and other HR teammates. On a day-to-day basis, you could be advising stakeholders on staff on/off boarding, payroll, benefits and other related items and collaborating on employee engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. You will play a key role in delivering HR operational excellence to our Japan employees – working collaboratively with internal specialists, supporting our vendors and driving project work.
At Macquarie, we engage in a diverse range of business activities and as such, you’ll need to quickly develop relationships and build credibility with internal stakeholders. You’ll have strong communication skills and are happy to converse with colleagues at all levels.
Effective risk management is crucial to our business, and you’ll play a vital role managing compliance against HR and people policies. You’ll be working with internal subject matter experts to identify and manage potential risk gaps. You’ll have a strong understanding of local employment ordinance, immigration, and benefits.
With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ HR experience. Knowledge in Japanese labour regulations and associated policies is required, and experience in financial services and partnering with the business in an advisory capacity would be preferred. You should be solutions and client focused, proactive, team player, and have excellent attention to detail. You’ll be able to work with limited supervision.
