We are seeking an outstanding Java Developer with a passion for product development to join our Futures technology team aligned to the Commodities and Global Markets Group, a core business within Macquarie with strong global foundations. To succeed in this role, you will to be a person who can take ownership of our applications, production issues fixing defects and perform both short-term resolution and development of preventive measures for the longer term. As a Java Developer, you will have a self-starter attitude and actively contribute to the software development, unit testing, release and operational support. Our global team has a strong focus on continuous delivery and platform automation, and you will collaborate with team members and contribute to project tasks as well as resolution of operational incidents.
You will also work to develop a deep understanding of the internal systems and business domain (futures & options), and manage continuous build, test and deploy processes, while automating the release and upgrade process for applications in development, UAT and production environments.
To be successful in this role you will bring 4 to 9 years of experience along with the following skills:
· Strong technical expertise in Java (strictly 1.6 and above), JDBC, Collections and Multithreading
. Strong understanding of Spring framework and Spring boot.
· Strong knowledge of SQL and of database either Oracle or Sybase.
· Knowledge of Design Patterns and OOPS concepts
· Knowledge in SDLC, Quality, Testing, Eclipse, Maven, GIT, Stash
· Experience in Test Driven Development, Junit Framework, Mockito etc
· Knowledge in Unix / Linux.
It is also favourable, but not required, if you have knowledge of AWS cloud and have experience in the Investment Bank domain (preferably in Futures and Options). Experience working with global teams is an added advantage.
