Supply Chain and Skills Manager, Global Offshore Wind Development - Green Investment Group

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Supply Chain and Skills Manager to join our Green Investment Group’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Our Green Investment Group’s global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors.

In this newly created role, reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the strategy to grow the supply chain and will negotiate key contractual agreements. You will lead the supply chain and skills activity for the project and will build relationships with suppliers and skills providers.

As the Supply Chain and Skills Manager, you will bring experience of managing commercial contracts and an understanding of the key skills required across the project lifecycle. You will have a thorough understanding of the complex commercial and technical requirements related to supply of products / materials and services to such projects. Your will bring strong experience of skills and supply chain development approaches for large projects, as well as the ability to analyse and forecast how the supply chain and skills capability for offshore wind is likely to develop over the next decade.

Your general technical understanding and experience of the construction process, including design, fabrication, and installation will allow you to work effectively with Construction and Technical Services teams. Your knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation associated with fabrication and construction and operation of offshore projects, in conjunction with commercial management, planning, and influencing skills will hold you in good stead to be successful in this role.
