Executive - Financial Reporting


Join us as an Executive and be part of our Group Financial Reporting team who has the end-to-end responsibility of Macquarie’s consolidated financial reporting, including preparation of financials, coordinating with external auditors, business teams and other stakeholders, periodic review of group consolidated position and variance analysis. The team is also responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the consolidation control framework, advising business teams on group presentations and consolidation accounting and delivery of various monthly/quarterly deliverables around Macquarie’s consolidated position.

You’ll work to develop knowledge of the business, accounting systems, reconciliation policy, finance control standards and quality framework and ensure compliance with these. You’ll be responsible to perform month end accounting, preparation and posting of journals into the Oracle Fusion. You’ll prepare Balance sheet reconciliations (Monthly / Daily) as per Macquarie’s Reconciliation Policy. You’ll also be doing reporting – for example statutory, regulatory and[KA1]  management reporting along with variance analysis and commentaries as well as P&L analysis and variance commentaries. You’ll also be responsible for preparing working documents for the Statutory Financial Statements. You’ll also be responsible for ad hoc query management from service areas and business.


To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in financial services and previous exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment. You’ll have a strong customer service ethic, be able to proactively understand requirements of various stakeholders and maintaining good relationship across the business. You’ll welcome the opportunity to work in a virtual global team and you’re able to manage cross-border relationships effectively. You’ll have a Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA along with 4-6 years of relevant experience with a strong background of Financial Accounting and Reporting Services. You’ll also be willing to travel overseas and to work in shifts.
