Manager/AVP- Test Manager

Opportunity for a Test Manager with experience in financial services to join our Global Finance Services team. In this role you’ll have plenty of opportunities to use your initiative as you’ll play a pivotal role in testing and delivering the initial transition of Business as Usual (BAU) support and data validation to our platforms team, and subsequently improve processes and enhance the scope of the team’s service offering.

 

As part of our diverse and supportive team you’ll use your strong ability convert business requirement to test cases and scenarios as you take responsibility for driving testing of BAU change for finance specifically related to balance sheet reporting Economic and Financial Statistics (EFS).This involves defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery and deploying and managing resources for testing. You’ll define and implement the test strategy and also develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan. You will also document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined. You’ll ensure the quality change delivery on the system for Regulatory Reporting (Axiom) and help identify opportunities to improve processes. You’ll also partner with business and technical subject matter experts for validation and verification of functional specifications and business end-to-end requirements while ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones by applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics.

 

To be successful in this role you will have a degree qualification in either Finance (MBA) or Information Technology with at least 9 years of experience in Manual/ Functional testing. Previous experience in the Financial Services industry with a background in Regulatory Reporting is essential. You’ll have the ability to investigate business issues and identify technical root causes and some exposure to process improvement and project management methodologies is also preferred. You’ll have experience of E2E Regulatory Reporting requirement change process and should be familiar with defect tracking tool and test management tools (JIRA/ HP ALM). It is also preferred to have knowledge of reporting and consolidation tool like AXIOM as well as basics knowledge of SQL. You’ll have exposure to complete SDLC and STLC. You’ll have strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. To meet challenging timelines, you’ll welcome the opportunity to work with both onsite and offshore models.
