Group Data Architect


Join our Architecture function as a talented Group Data Architect where you will have the opportunity to lead on futuristic projects that provide real value to business and a sense of satisfaction to you.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a self-motivated team player and excellent communication skills to engage with all levels of stakeholders.  You will also have a drive to create strategic, yet pragmatic data solutions by keeping various organisations constraints in mind

We anticipate to excel in this role you will:

  • develop & maintain Data architecture roadmap to plan and guide investments in data domains to ensure progress is made to the realisation of an agreed set of business and technology goals
  • convert business objectives into the architecture and design that make up the solution blueprint for projects/investments, balancing the architectural concerns of the projects with the concerns of the enterprise
  • provide best practices guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications, projects, or the enterprise.
  • Bring knowledge of industry standard capability, data models, frameworks, and have experience applying them as a governance mechanism
  • act as a leader, manager, mentor, and coach to other architects
  • participate in the evolution of the architecture function, continuously learning and improvements to the architecture practice
  • demonstrate effectiveness in working with the business on architecture and/or security needs and identify risks and requirement
  • be motivated to produce commercial solutions that will be beneficial to our business and stand the test of time.
  • have experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams.

Ideally you will bring:

  • demonstrated experience as a "Lead/Group Data architect" or similar with at least 5 years' experience in this role
  • industry experience within Investment Banking, Asset Management, Retail Banking, Superannuation & Insurance domain experience in one of these industries is ideal
  • significant data management, data engineering, analytics and business intelligence experience 
  • experience in people management.
