You’ll work with a small team responsible for building the key APIs that power our award-winning online and mobile banking platforms. You will work with your team to manage and gather requirements, and design complex business applications, and data integration solutions. You’ll build and maintain microservices using industry best practices. This includes learning about the business, building and maintain high quality software, and help automate its testing and delivery. Additionally, you will work with your team to drive process improvements, test-driven development, and Agile and DevOps practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven skills in JAVA 8+ with Spring / Spring Boot
- Experience in design and implementation of RESTful API services
- Experience in SQL (creating and updating tables, views, procedures, queries)
- Experience using continuous deployment and delivery (CI/CD) tools
- Experience with GIT source control
Although not required, experience in the following will be highly valued:
- Cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP
- Containerization technologies such as Docker
- Cassandra or other non-relational databases
- LDAP integration
- Linux basic shell commands
