In this role, you’ll focus on indirect tax compliances, tax accounting and related advisory for the Asia Pacific region and the relevant accounting and reporting requirements. Using your knowledge of indirect tax requirements related to Asia (mainly India and Singapore) and your deep understanding of indirect tax preparation and filing, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and refunding of GST refund applications, as well as assisting from an Indirect tax perspective for various audits. You’ll also be responsible for working towards tax related balance sheet reconciliations, tax registrations, preparation of GST input tax reconciliations and research on tax implication on business transactions as per indirect tax laws in Asia.
We’re looking for someone who brings an innovative mindset and the ability to continually find opportunities to improve services, processes and systems. You’ll also demonstrate effective communication skills while working in a virtual, global team with the ability to manage cross-border relationships effectively.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a professional finance qualification (CA) with 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax compliance, advisory and related accounting. You’ll also bring strong working knowledge of accounting systems, reporting tools and Microsoft office. Previous taxation experience in the shared services or financial services industry will be considered favourably but not essential.
