Full stack Java Developer for Equity Derivatives desk, Manager (AVP)

We have an exciting role in our Equity Finance development team in Hong Kong.  We are interested in speaking to you if you are an exceptional technologist who excels at coding, problem solving and effective delivery. We are a global team, aligned to the trading desk, operating in a strong DevOps culture.

Our Equity Finance business primarily focuses on trading Swaps, Stock Loan and Repos in the APAC and European regions to service external clients, interbank counterparts and internal trading desks. We rely primarily on in-house developed systems to make profitable and sustainable income.

As a mod/senior member of this team, you will work with front and middle office stakeholders to translate business strategy into clear technical requirement, design and implement Equity Finance platform solutions using agile methodologies, improve DevOps processes and tooling and provide support to the business users globally.

To thrive in this role you will have:

  • Technical
    • 5+ years’ experience in Core Java solution design and application development
    • Familiar with FIX protocol, messaging middleware and RESTful JSON web services  
    • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot and Event Sourcing implementation
    • Strong knowledge of relationship database and SQL
  • Other
    • Experience working with Front Office functions in a financial institution
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
