Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join the Finance team of Vestone Capital. Vestone Capital is a commercial rental and asset finance business that provides financing solutions to commercial clients for a broad range of assets with a focus on technology and manufacturing equipment. Business is generated across the full spectrum of commercial customers and deal types, ranging from a corporate business line dealing with large publicly listed customers to dealing with high volumes of small ticket transactions for SMEs introduced primarily through broker and vendor partners. With over 15 years of leasing experience in the Australian market, we’ve set ourselves the challenge to create Australia’s best equipment finance and technology leasing experience.

Working in a dynamic, collaborative team and reporting directly to the CFO of a successful business that in order to support its continued growth is entering into an exciting new phase of investment and expansion, you will lead the Financial Control function. This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Finance leader to take the next step in their career and move into role that will provide experience across the full spectrum of the finance function.

You will be a highly qualified finance leader who demonstrates experience in asset finance, banking, financial services or related fields. You will have strong capabilities in driving business performance combined with the ability to build high performance teams and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will achieve results through your highly developed people leadership skills and genuine respect for driving diversity and inclusion.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for a range of functions including Regulatory Reporting, Financial Statements preparation, technical accounting, accounting governance, funding & treasury, tax, corporate advisory, audit, and banking. The role will also have involvement in broader areas such as strategy formulation, budgeting, financial planning and modelling, and broad reporting responsibilities. Experience with securitisation and related funding functions will also be an advantage for this role.

Key to your success will be a CA qualification and previous Financial Control or audit experience either with a Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm and/or Asset Finance, Banking or Financial Services.  You will have a proven track record of delivering best-practice financial systems and reporting coupled with Australian regulatory, tax and financial statement reporting.  In addition, you will be flexible in your approach and able to adapt to suit different needs or situations as required in a stand alone business.

This is a rare opportunity to join an established business at the beginning of its transformation journey into a significant standalone financial services business, leveraging the best of its parents and developing its own unique culture, brand, and capabilities.

If you have a collaborative approach, are curious with the ability to learn and adapt quickly whilst adhering to change, then apply today or reach out to
