2021 EMEA PhD Programme

Bring your passion for data science, technology, and quantitative methods to join an enthusiastic team with a track record of designing innovative solutions to solve complex business problems.

Sitting on the trading floor, you will work with our Trading, Structuring and Quantitative Strategist teams on developing cutting edge models and systems, using data to drive strategies, portfolio optimisation algorithms and sophisticated derivatives solutions.

This opportunity will see you build your technical and business knowledge in a wide range of markets as well as be a part of a team closely aligned with revenue generation.

In order to be eligible for this programme, you must be enrolled in a top tier M.S./Ph.D. in math, physics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative discipline. You also need to have strong programming skills and experience with Python and data science tools.

Our Commodities and Global Markets group has over 2,600 staff in 24 markets who provide clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities and technology, media and telecoms. The platform has evolved over more than four decades to provide clients with access to markets, financing, financial hedging, research and market analysis, and physical execution. Commodities and Global Markets also delivers a diverse range of tailored finance solutions globally across a variety of industries and asset classes. 

This opportunity is a six-month programme which will start in Spring/ Summer 2021. The programme will be based at our London office 28 Ropemaker Street, London EC2Y 9HD and salaries are competitive.
