We’re looking for a new Product Development Manager to play an important role within the global product development team. In this integral role, you’ll be supporting multiple product platforms and prepare Board reporting for a number of US Fund complexes. The ideal candidate for this role thrives on managing multiple projects, has experience supporting retail mutual funds, closed-end funds, and institutional / retirement products. Familiarity with ETFs and portfolio model delivery is a plus. As a member of the product development team, this individual understands and values the importance of collaboration, communication and is equally comfortable leading and supporting various product initiatives. You’ll be organized, have excellent planning skills and can deliver in a deadline driven environment.
A key part of this role is to provide product leadership for mutual fund boards. We’ll be relying on you to disseminate regulate insights and updates to Boards of various fund complexes. You’ll participate in projects such as annual contract renewal for US Fund complexes, prospectus reviews, expense policy oversight or complex-wide initiatives. Using your strong relationship management skills, you’ll work with Legal, Compliance and others to seek regulatory and/or Board approvals and ensure compliance with industry best practices and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Being the key contact with vendors, manage relationships with sub-advisors and provide oversight of third-party vendors and suppliers. You’ll help coordinate and track product development efforts globally and remain current on industry trends across retail mutual funds, closed-end funds and institutional products
With your Project Management experience and natural collaboration skills, you’ll coordinate product development initiatives across multiple areas of the firm, including legal, compliance, operations, fund administration, middle office, investment teams, product specialists and marketing, solving and escalating problems as they arise.
To be considered for this role, you’ll have;
- 3-5 years of minimum experience in asset management
- experience supporting mutual funds, closed-end funds and retirement products
- technical expertise in Excel, Powerpoint, Morningstar Direct, Simfund, Lipper
- a bachelor’s degree in a related field
