Business Analyst, Regulatory reporting - 12 months contract


A great opportunity exists for a proactive and experienced Business Analyst to join the Regulatory Operations team to cover a maternity leave for 12 months. With a focus on Transaction Reporting in this role you will have the opportunity to add value while working on key initiatives for the Regulatory Operations team during a busy period of change.

The Regulatory Operations Team based in Sydney is responsible for the on-going management of global transactions across all businesses which are reportable to key regulatory bodies.  You will coordinate Business, Compliance and Operations teams to ensure the requirements are implemented and will work closely with them to document regulatory requirements and interpretations. You will be performing root cause investigation, impact analysis, identification and mitigation of issues or risks as well as providing input to test planning for technology teams and execute sample testing. You will assist in UAT planning and management and will gain exposure to derivative products and lifecycle events.

Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in financial services sector in a similar role and have experience in APAC and US Regulatory OTC Transaction Reporting. You are someone who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk mindset and has the ability to work individually and as part of the team, providing support and guidance to fellow team members. Your excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills coupled with your ability to adapt in constant change will see you thrive in this role.
