Business Development Manager, Institutional and Direct
A new role has been created as a Business Development Manager within Personal Banking focused on building our cash deposits as an additional funding source to support our overall business growth. This national role, based in Sydney, will report to the Senior Business Development Manager, Institutional and Direct – Personal Banking, and you will join an exciting and fast-growing business within Macquarie’s Banking & Financial Services Group.
Personal Banking offers home loans, car loans, credit cards and deposits. We have award-winning internet and mobile banking apps and are focused on delivering a best-in-market banking and digital origination experience. As a highly-driven and experienced Business Development Manager, you will help fund our growth by achieving sales targets within a portfolio of clients across a number of distribution segments who will benefit from our solutions. These segments will include institutions such as corporates, not-for-profits, the education sector, government and other retail segments. Key to your success will be your genuine passion for delivering results, displaying effectiveness in your planning and you will relish working in a hands-on, diverse and fast paced environment. You will also have a proactive and independent approach with a strong bias to action, along with an ability to engage with multiple stakeholders with a flexible and collaborative style. You will form great client relationships and develop strong market awareness to inform product development and strategic decisions.
You will ideally possess previous experience within the financial services or wealth management industry and be able to demonstrate prior success in a sales based role. You will be an exceptional communicator who can positively influence client outcomes with your energetic and proactive attitude. You will have strong leadership potential and the ability to influence cross functional teams in an exciting new area of the business.
