Senior Analyst, Asset Management (Agriculture & Natural Assets)

Join world-leading alternative asset manager Macquarie Asset Management as a Senior Analyst in the Agriculture & Natural Assets team and pursue a unique opportunity to originate, execute and manage investments in the rapidly emerging Natural Assets investment class. The expansion of Macquarie Asset Management’s Natural Assets capabilities continues our mission to deliver positive impact for everyone by developing investment products relating to nature-based solutions and carbon markets that accelerate the transition to global net zero emissions. Developing our capabilities and products in Natural Assets will involve leveraging Macquarie Asset Management’s decades of expertise, skills and resources in green investment and sustainability.

As an Analyst within our Agriculture & Natural Assets team, you will be working to support the growth of our Natural Assets capability with a focus on investment products relating to nature-based solutions and global carbon markets. As a key member of a deal team that operates in a fast paced, challenging environment, you will work closely with your colleagues and external advisors in assessing transactions, developing financial models, performing valuations, interpreting data and analysis related to environmental markets, and supporting activities associated with investment fund raising, including investor relations and market research.

You will have opportunity to support business leaders in analysis of product development, transaction opportunities and management of investments, across new and existing markets. This role will see you learn and develop with the potential to move into an asset manager role over time.

We have a strong preference for the postion to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but will consider preferences from candidates to be based out of New York. 

With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, you will have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the investment banking industry, private equity, or consulting. You will be a team player, a good communicator with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels. You will have an analytical mindset with a proven ability to deliver against challenging targets with limited supervision.

Salary Range

Salary range for this position: $140,000 - $160,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
